The Power of Mindful Breathing: 2-Day Training

"Regulate the breathing, and thereby control the mind." – B.K.S. Iyengar.

Pranayama is translated from Sanskrit as "extension of the pra?a (breath or life force)" or "breath control."  These yogic breathing exercises have the ability to quickly increase our energy, release stress, improve our mental clarity and improve our overall health.  A regular and sustained practice of pranayama serves to increase the levels of oxygen and energy within the body, supercharging our entire being!  Join us for this weekend training to better understand the anatomy of the respiratory system, the dynamics of diaphragmatic breathing and how to begin to harness the power of this practice within your life.  This training will educate you in a series of beginning pranayama practices, with techniques for integrating these tools into your own yoga and meditation practice or your teachings.

This class is required for our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Trainees, but is open to all who are interested to deepen their practice.
